1. When is the fishing best on Lake Texoma?

Lake Texoma Guide Service guarantees that you will catch fish, no matter what time of year you decide to visit. But there are certain months that are better than others. Generally that is March-April-May-June and then September-October-November-December. The further in advance you book, the more likely you will be able to fish on the date that you choose.

2. How long must I book in advance?

Lake Texoma Guide Service suggests that you book as far in advance as you possibly can to insure that your dates are available. With as many as 80% of our customers being return customers, busy seasons fill up quickly.

6. What kind of boat do you have and how is it equipped?

The boat is a 27' Charger Striper guide Boat powered by 350 horsepower Suzuki four stroke motor. This boat is specially equipped for stability and safety. There is a marine radio as well as a cell phone for emergencies. A live well is available that keeps the bait fresh. There is an ice chest for beverages and one to keep your catch on ice. State of the Art Electronic fish finders, depth finders and GPS system. These things are nice, but your guide can find fish even without all the modern technology!

7. Will I catch fish? Is there a guarantee?

You will catch fish, guaranteed. Your guide has fished these waters for over twenty years. He knows where the fish are and when. If for some reason, you do not catch fish, your trip costs you nothing.

8. What should I bring with me?

Your fishing license, food, drinks, rain apparel and an ice chest with ice to take your fish fillets home in. Don't forget your camera for those great poses with your catch!!!!

9. Where can I get a Texoma fishing license?

If you are from out of state then you will need a Lake Texoma fishing license. It is recommended that all those fishing obtain a Lake Texoma license. The price is $12 in state or out of state. Children under age 16 are NOT required to have a fishing license. Fishing licenses are available at the lake at the Alberta Creek Marina.  Your license can even be purchased in advance from home -- you can get an instant license over the phone, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year for residents as well as non-residents. Bass Pro Shops has entered into an agreement with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation to sell licenses over the telephone...all you need it a credit card. There is a $2.95 processing fee but you can start hunting or fishing the minute you hang up the phone! Call 1-800-223-3333. This license is good for one calendar year.

10. Is there a deposit?

Yes, there is a $100 deposit to schedule your trip.

11. How do I book a trip?

There are two ways to book a trip. You may call Stan directly at 1-580-564-5648 to schedule a trip. Or, you can check our on-line calendar and submit an on-line request for a reservation. Even if the day you want is taken, be sure and contact us. Sometimes there are cancellations that have not be noted on the web site. Often we can line you up with another guide service if we are full.

12. Are Children Welcome? How about families?

Yes, children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. There are restroom facilites available located at Marinas all around the Lake and your guide will be happy to stop as needed.

13. What are your rates?

$450 for 3 people Mondays through Thursdays ($450 minimum trip charge), $600 for 4 or more people Fridays through Sundays ($150 per person, $600 minimum trip charge), $100 per child 12 and under with 3 adults or more.
